If you are an academic researcher, then this is your site. Anything you contribute remains yours, and members are encouraged to own and control everything from the site itself to policy development.

No institutional funding or investment has been received, and the site is under no obligation or commitment to any private or public interest group. It currently offers itself as a private initiative of Christopher Dyer, but will register itself in whatever location and form decided upon by users (once a sufficient number of members has discussed the issue).

The site itself meets development and running costs through the personal investment of time and money by developers and site administrators. Both these groups have been assigned a fixed share in the ownership of the site in return for their contributions. Currently, the site is seeking Founding_Members to develop content or market the site towards researchers and research organizations in exchange for a proportionally larger share in site ownership than regular Research Scientist members.

To share in the ownership of Sci-Mate, simply register as a Scientific Researcher. If you wish to work cooperatively with us to develop the site by encouraging other scientists to use the site; or by creating quality content; or have any other ideas, please feel free to contact us.
