Members can list any item of interest to other researchers, such as research tools, technology transfer, items wanted, project proposals, consultancies, grants, prizes, jobs, speaking, training, conferences, or seminars (see example of Items).

There are two major categories of items on Sci-Mate to separate research focused items from commercially focused items: 

Research Items

Research Items are offers from one academic researcher to another for free or at cost, for either collaborative purposes or altruistic principle.

Commercial Items

Any member can list an item for commercial distribution. Academic organizations are welcome to list technology transfer offers to industry, and commercial suppliers can offer products of value to researchers. See also: Item Exchange Sci-Mate Communities Technology Transfer Items Wanted
