Founding Members are currently sought to assist in the marketing and promotion of the website.

Members (individuals, groups, or organizations) who can establish a critical mass of users in any of the disciplines offered on the site are currently offered a 20% ownership share of the site in exchange for their collaborative efforts. This can involve the creation and maintenance of content that attracts other users; viral marketing; promotion; or any other activity responsible for the bringing of scientists to Sci-Mate.

For activities that are essentially site based, such as content creation, there is no specific need to coordinate activities with developers and administrators, who will be immediately aware of and supportive of any such actions. For any other activities, such as external promotions, email campaigns, etc, please keep Dyer@sci-mate.org in the loop.

The site is well prepared to support conferences or events (see VCC 2009), and can provide advice and materials to support such activities.

As a grass-roots organization - sprouting its first green shoots - we are looking forward to engaging with anyone enthusiastic about the application of these new tools in academic research.
