Cancer is a pathogenic disease characterised by out of control cell division. This is generally the result of a failure in regulatory processes that would otherwise limit excessive proliferation.  A highly instructive animation of tumour growth and metastisis has been produced by the Howard Hughs Medical Institute that introduces the topic of Angiogenesis.
