Articles can be browsed from either the Sci-Mate home page, or searched from within any open Article.

• To list Articles within a specific topic or discipline, use the major buttons with drop menus, or links, or the Navigation Bar from the Sci-Mate home page to browse by interest.
• To search for a term, open any Article and enter the term in the "Search" box on the left.
• Once an Article is open, readers can navigate through topics by clicking on obvious links, such as Cancer, Molecular Biology and Neurobiology, towards their own interests.

As the site is new there may be gaps where even the most basic of knowledge is valuable. Please consider contributing a sentence or an Article depending on what you have easily available, perhaps bridging to a review of your own specific work, citing your own publications. This is a great way to increase personal citation rates.

To the side of each article are some standard options for navigation, and for tools, and on some articles.  Articles within Sci-Mate has an Edit page (where members can contribute relevant content) and a Discussion page (where details within the Article can be considered at length by the Article Editor, Authors and other members).  When you click this button, you change from viewing an Article OR Discussion about an Article, to being able to edit the Article, or Discussion. Comments are permanent for the record.

Occasionally, pages that are important or may be vandalized are locked, in which case the "edit" will show "view source", and you will not be able to edit the article at that time.

Toolbox includes: 

• "+" - adds a new section to a discussion page, without changing what is already there.

• Watch/unwatch - adds or removes a page from your watchlist, the list of pages you are tracking. You can view your watchlist with the user option button "my watchlist" at the top right of the screen.  

• Recent changes - articles that are being edited at this moment
• Help - exactly what it says

• What links here - useful for tracing where this article is referenced from
• Related changes - lists changes to articles linked to this article 
• Upload file - how you add images (and occasionally other files) to the Wiki-Mate
• Special pages - all the special functions and administration options can be found here

Other sidebar functions include:

• Search - allows you to search all other Articles.
• Personal tools - allows you to control your activities within the Sci-Mate. 

[edit] Missing Information

Any text in an article can mark the starting point of a new Article. Simply enter the Article and highlight the text and press the "Insert / Edit Link" button. Then define the Title of the intended Article - Agrodoodle - for example. By saving the Article, and then clicking on the link, a new Article "Agrodoodle" would be created.
